Hi, I’m Amber Rose, a passionate hairstylist from Stoke On Trent with 15 years of experience.
As a mother of two small children, I’m constantly searching for the work-life balance that allows me to do what I love while being present for my family. After all, life is about doing what you love and loving what you do every single day!
In January 2025, I took a leap and opened my own salon, Nikura Hair, after spending three fulfilling years working from home. My journey has been anything but conventional; it’s a testament to hard work, resilience... and a sprinkle of spontaneity. I began my career as an apprentice, gradually working my way up through various roles, from salon manager to chair rental and then to creating my own home salon that perfectly accommodated my family life. Interestingly, I never set out with the dream of owning my own salon; it just unfolded naturally. Embracing change has always been part of my journey, and moving into my own space felt like the next step, not a daunting challenge. When I commit to something, I pour my heart and soul into it. One of my proudest achievements is my online education platform, which I started a year before my second son was born. The Education Edit has now been thriving for three years, connecting and teaching stylists worldwide through a private subscription page. I focus on uploading weekly tutorials covering everything from colouring techniques to social media strategies, helping stylists elevate their careers from the comfort of their homes.
